The extremely interested group of visitors was led by Michael Westhagemann, Senator for Economics, Transport and Innovation. The motto of the delegation trip was "Innovation in Hamburg". Accordingly, the two groups of 25 people each travelled innovative and environmentally friendly hydrogen-powered HVV buses.
Philipp Walter and Nils Neumann from beyourpilot explained the new start-up platform to the visitors, which should support and further optimize the start-up culture of the Hanseatic city. Afterwards, the start-ups who were present reported on their projects and exchanged ideas with the delegation. The delegation was impressed "by everything that happens here". The "Deutsche Startup Monitor 2018" from the management consultancy KPMG also sees this: The study shows that around seven percent of all German start-ups come from Hamburg. An increased share, but one that needs to be expanded further.
