One in four start-ups in Germany is green - sustainable business ideas are becoming the economic engine. The StartGreen Award recognizes the best projects and the Green Economy.
On 20 November 2019, the most important national prize of the green start-up scene will be awarded for the fifth time. It supports innovative start-ups in the field of climate protection and sustainability and gives them visibility on the German and European scene. Through its close involvement in the community, the award has established itself as a valuable instrument. The high success rate of its finalists in other national and international competitions strengthens the entire green start-up scene.
This year, founders can apply in 4 categories. There are cash and non-cash prizes with a total value of over 60,000 euros to be won.

Future Mobility - powered by InnoEnergy (founded, 0-10 years)

The green start-up scene in Germany is actively involved in shaping the process: In this way they can build networks and learn from each other. The network idea is also reflected in the structure of the award ceremony. In the semi-finals, the green start-up scene decides on its favourites through a public vote. In the final, a jury of experts will select the winners from the finalists during the international start-up week.
The StartGreen Award is under the patronage of Federal Environment Minister Svenja Schulze. The main partners of the StartGreen Award 2019 are: SDG Investments, InnoEnergy and the RKW Competence Centre.
